Acquarello Swiss Quality Hotel - Lugano

Great place with excellent wi-fi, luggage storage, a fitness center, and a cozy bar/lounge. The staff even returned my forgotten jewelry during my first stay. I highly recommend it for a relaxing weekend getaway!

Its location approx 10-15 minutes' walk from Exhibition Center Lugano was magnificent.

everything was good from the exceptional service to the different food. the staff were consistently courteous and super-friendly, gave us great tips. the accommodation had a very central location to the bottom stop for the tram. we had lunch in pan & salam, placed close by.

Take advantage of the complimentary public transport pass for easy access to local attractions.

The primary attribute was location. It served us well, as we were visiting our son who lived nearby.

The staff were minimally friendly, less than I would have expected. Their public relations needs development.

Tried good fruit, hardboiled eggs and cheese. The setting was magnificent and absolutely perfect, very close to the hill to main station and the oldtown center of Lugano and the city area.

the breakfast included fresh juices and a choice of eggs, great. unfortunately, the funicular was not operational.

It is in the very heart of the city - access is very easly to the city centre

Staff was not friendly at all!! Noise from the feniculaire... very old building, the room was stinking horribly... Very expensive for the service provided....

The location was perfect. Plus, the funicular made it simple to explore nearby attractions. The breakfast was solid, with plenty of options, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The air conditioning in our room was pretty noisy, hard to sleep at night.

The closeness of the funicular causes a deep rumbling in the hotel. It didn't disturb my sleep.

I found the reception not very nice, not very tidy, (dishwasher open behind the receptionist.)Not very bad but a little bit noisy the small train running beside the hotel

The proximity to the funicular made it super easy to reach the train station. I loved the complimentary Swiss chocolate and Ticino Ticket for local transport. Breakfast featured freshly squeezed orange juice, local pastries, and a variety of options, catering to all preferences. The room was clean and bright, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel stood out. One downside was the air conditioning. It didn't cool as needed, especially in the warmer weather. Staying in Room 520 on the top floor made the temperature uncomfortable at times. Despite the great breakfast, the room setup could've been better, especially with the AC placement near the toilet. Nevertheless, the location was central, with many attractions within walking distance.

only problem and they assured me it would not be, I reserved 3 rooms on a credit card and then when I checked out I paid for the one room with a debit card, the people we were with paid for their 2 room but apparently they charged my credit card for all three nights and 3 rooms on the day I arrived. Due to some changes we only stayed two nights (gave hotel advanced notice of change.) I e-mailed hotel and they are supposed to be resolving this little problem, as they did respond promptly. I would surely stay there again.

Location is excellent, right in the middle of city center and a couple blocks from lakeside.

The hotel and room are very simple and low end. The bedrooms and breakfast room reminded me of a hostel more than a hotel. However, breakfast was quite ok with a decent selection of food. The personnel was very kind and friendly.
